According the the
New York Times,
president Obama recently met with top corporate
executives. "During more than four hours of meetings
on Wednesday, Mr. Obama urged a group of chief
executives to begin hiring and investing again as he
wooed them, fed them and portrayed himself as an eager
partner in the private sector’s effort to get the
economy going."
Some of the topics discussed during this meeting
included jobs, investments, and ideas for getting the
economy growing again.
Some of the executives who attended the meeting
included Eric E. Schmidt, chairman and chief
executive of Google; Kenneth I. Chenault, chief
executive of American Express; and Indra K. Nooyi,
chairman and chief executive of PepsiCo.
